On October 1, 2019 Treasurer Kim Weber reported to her office at the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company to review financials, submit checks and handle various other Treasurer-related duties & responsibilities. While working in her office, Kim mentioned to colleagues that she wasn’t feeling well. Nevertheless, she wanted to get her work done and continued to work, along with Assistant Chief McKinney, until 15:00 hours when they both left the station to run errands. At approximately 20:00 hours, Treasurer Weber, having returned to the station, entered the operational area of Company 13 in obvious distress & experiencing a cardiac emergency. Company 13 Paramedics & EMTs rendered emergent medical care and immediately transported Treasurer Weber to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Emergency Department. Weber family members along with President Gibbons & FVFAC Administrative & Command staff arrived at UCMC and were at Kim’s side. FVFAC EMS remained at UCMC incase transport was needed to a high level cardiac intervention center. Treasurer Weber’s condition deteriorated, and she suffered cardiac arrest. Sadly, all resuscitation attempts by hospital staff were unsuccessful and she was pronounced deceased at 02:15 hours on October 2, 2019.Kim joined the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company in December 1995 and served as Treasurer for 18 years. FVFAC Treasurer Kim Diane Weber was 64 years old and had served nearly 24 years.
